What We Offer

Psychosocial Program on Defence & Veterans Affairs

How the Program is Built

Rebuilding the mind, the way we rebuild the nation

1. A Structured, Phased Program

Our MHPSS program goes through three stages. It includes psychoeducation/counsellor training, assessment/psychotherapy, and finally the establishment of fixed behaviour health clinics.

2. Tailored to the Military Context

Each of our services provided, starting from screening to Combat Stress Control teams, is tailor-made according to the needs of the barracks, cantonments, and deployments, not civilian programs adapted later on.

3. Built Together with Our Partners

Through collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs, UNMISS ROLSIS, and the SCDVA, we ensure that the program reaches those who require it.

Supporting Every Stage of the Journey

1

Mental health and psychosocial screening of the entire force of 29,000 personnel within the National Army and organised forces.

2

Counselling support for the personnel and their families dealing with issues like grief, deployment pressure, relationship difficulties, and transition pressures.

3

Long-term, intensive psychotherapy support for the personnel suffering from PTSD, moral injury, depression, and other mental disorders.

4

A six-month certification course that prepares 50 military counsellors to be deployed directly in the barracks and cantonments.

5

Psychoeducation sessions for 600 senior military leaders and organized forces personnel, along with 2,480 individuals from 62 wounded assembly centres.

6

Development and conducting of educational sessions as a part of the Combat Stress Control (CSC) team in the place where personnel are posted.

7

Presenting advocacy documents directly to the Presidency and security sector leadership for the establishment of clinics in each and every barrack and cantonment.

8
