Making a Difference

Collective Funding for Direct Relief in Times of Crisis

The National Crisis Response Fund is an integrated fund that helps to plug the gap where the government and international aid organizations fall short in South Sudan. It provides much-needed psychological assistance to the marginalized communities that need it the most in their barracks and cantonments. Today, many communities in South Sudan are dealing with the overwhelming effects of war, displacement, floods, and gender-based violence with no mental health programs to buffer them against total ruin. Donate to the National Crisis Response Fund to combine your efforts with those of others in order to reach the areas in greatest need.

Why Give to the Fund?

1. Amplify Your Impact

The power of one contribution seems to pale in comparison to the sheer scale of a problem of this magnitude. But when added to others, as part of the effort from the Fund, it is a part of a fast-moving, concerted effort to help on a scale larger than any one contribution can possibly do.

2. Know Where Your Funding is Landing

It allows you to make sure that your contributions are helping real people who really need help. Such as screened individuals, wounded veterans, displaced families, and victims of violence.

3. Support Communities to Determine their Own Solutions

The process used by the Fund is focused on putting the leadership of the South Sudanese. It includes military counsellors, religious leaders, community elders, and health workers who are at the forefront of all efforts.

How It Works?

1

Make a contribution using the options available here to the National Crisis Response Fund, or get in touch with us about arranging help via a partnership with an institution/organisation.

2

Your contribution will be combined with those of other donors, governmental bodies, and international agencies to be sent wherever it is most urgently needed, whether that is for an urgent counseling mission, a wounded assembly center, or a community suffering a new bout of violence.

3

You will be provided with reports about what the Fund has been used for so that you can have full assurance of how your contribution has helped.

About the Funding Process

The National Crisis Response Fund aims to offer rapid and efficient assistance to the least served South Sudanese population, including the barracks, cantonments, wounded assembly centers, and rural populations which cannot be accessed by humanitarian response efforts at times. With the support of direct connections of National Fair Outreach with the SSPDF High Command, Ministry of Defense and Veterans’ Affairs, Ministry of Health, and other community and faith organizations spread over all ten states and three administrative areas, the Fund recognizes:
  • Those who have not been heard: veterans, injured soldiers, victims of gender-based violence, and those displaced who have fallen out of the system.
  • Those needs which have been unmet: PTSD, moral injury, depression, and psychosocial stress, which are allowed to flourish without any form of treatment.
  • The organizations best positioned to act: trained counselors, community and faith leaders, and frontline health workers present where the need is.
Every week, our team is in constant touch with the military, community, and mental health professionals, such that when the need arises, we can efficiently target the right area and offer immediate assistance.
